Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is the largest youth football, cheerleading, and dance organization in the world, consisting of approximately 425,000 scholar-athletes ranging from ages 5 to 15 years old. PWLS currently has leagues in 42 states and several countries, and is the premier instructional and competitive youth football, cheerleading, and dance organization.
Central Massachusetts Pop Warner Football League, Inc. (CMPWFL), an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, is a Chartered Member of PWLS. CMPWFL’s 23 associations are among the most experienced, educated, and successful in New England and the Country. At CMPWFL, all associations have a VOICE and a VOTE. Management of CMPWFL is INCLUSIVE of all associations, who elect the Board of Directors annually and maintain the integrity of our League through mandatory participation in separate committees that set the direction for administration/compliance, competition, scholastics, bylaws, and coaches’ training/education.
PWLS and CMPWFL promote team success and education. There are no all-star teams, tryouts, or cutting of players based on ability. Individual awards are given for academic excellence only.

Pop Warner Institutes Rule Changes Aimed at Reducing Concussions
Pop Warner became the first youth football organization to officially limit contact during practices. The changes can be found in the 2012 Official Pop Warner Rule Book and are a result of the advice of our Medical Advisory Board and the direct input of Pop Warner regional and local administrators and coaches.
